Unboxing PSA Graded Sports Cards: A Closer Look at the Grades

Hey there, it’s Jeff from Family Legacy Estate Sale, back with another exciting video for all you collectors out there. Today’s treat? An unboxing video featuring a couple of boxes of PSA graded sports cards. Let’s dive into these boxes and see what treasures await!

First up, we have a 1997 Michael Jordan Topps Rock Stars card, graded as a PSA 9. A mint card like this is sure to fetch a nice sum when it hits our website in the coming weeks. And if basketball isn’t your thing, how about a rare insert card of Brad Keselowski? Also graded as a PSA 9, this gold exclusive is definitely a standout.

Moving on to some rookie cards, we have a 1996 Kobe Bryant Finest rookie card. While it came back as a near mint 8, the fact that it still retains its coating adds to its appeal. Similarly, a Tim Duncan chrome refractor rookie card from 1997 also scored an 8, showcasing its beauty despite not hitting a higher grade.

But the real gems? A limited edition Michael Jordan Live card, graded as a mint PSA 9, and an SP authentic 1997 Michael Jordan Profiles card, also boasting a PSA 9 grade. High grades like these are what collectors dream of.

However, not every card in the batch met expectations. A Kobe Bryant rookie card labeled as a factory misprint was not graded by PSA, leaving it without a holder. And while some older cards, like the 1985 Kirby Puckett rookie card, scored well with a PSA 9, others, like a 1986 Steve Young card, fell short with a PSA 6.

The journey through these graded cards also included some surprises, like a Dennis Rodman Platinum Portraits card from 1997, which, despite its rarity, only earned a PSA 6 grade. Nonetheless, cards like an Eric Dickerson rookie card from 1984, graded as an 8, and a Roger Clemens card from the same year, graded as an 8, brought satisfaction.

Wrapping up the unboxing, we encountered more notable cards, such as a 2018 Ronald Acuna Jr. rookie card graded as a PSA 9, and another Michael Jordan card, this time a 1997 Topps 40th Anniversary card, earning a near mint 8.

Overall, while some of these PSA graded sports cards have fallen short of expectations, the collection boasts an impressive array of graded cards ready to find new homes. Stay tuned for these items to hit our website soon.
